Unless you make it so that the pose when taking the portrait is saved, changing any clothing will be very frustrating and probably too much effort for a lot of people.
I would like an answer if possible..
I'm not involved in the project directly, but I'm pretty sure this is the case already. Try using the recustomisation options and see if your pose is the same.
I'll poke someone involved with the design and see what they say.
Atropos, the pose is saved. The camera positioning, however, is not.
Yes, my bad, that's what I meant. Also due to the way the character moves while taking the portrait, those of us that have an avatar with a special face expression or a very specific pose/camera positioning will have to spend roughly 30 minutes everytime just to change clothing. It makes no sense to have to update the portrait everytime. It's like an ID, I don't need to take a new picture for my ID everytime I change clothes. Updating the portrait should only be required when something major like the hair gets changed.
For now this is a deal breaker for many people.
--- On a different topic, you should think about selling licences for a certain vanity item. So instead of buying item #17 everytime I get podded, I could buy a licence for item #17 and no matter how many times I get podded and how many jump clones I always have that item available in my list of selectable clothes. It becomes "unlocked", so to speak. Of course you would have to sell that for more than just the item itself.
Right now, sometimes people get stuck in the wrong implant set (no nearby jump clone) and don't want to risk it in pvp. It would be very disappointing if people started to not want to pvp because they're in the wrong outfit. And then they don't want to change the clothes because they don't want to redo the portrait AGAIN. That license idea solves this problem. ____________________________________________
